A new year

Blogging for the first time in 2011.
not like i did that much of it last year anyway.
It seems as though I have learned a lot in 2010... design wise. Apparently, according to my teacher, i have finally found my own "style" in my work.

CLEAN. SIMPLE. ORGANIC.

sounds good to me!

Anyway, i decided to be a little cheap this Christmas, since i will have to raise up about a million dollars for london, korea, and the new house.




So this is one of the presents that i gave to my sister. A poster for her dorm room. i took pictures of real flowers by sticking them on a cork board, photoshopped to spread out the white, and drew on some of the other aspects in illustrator later on. It was fun!You can somewhat see my process through the bottom image. Then the final product on top. soo yeah! there it is... testing out my new "style."


Ps. HOPEFULLY i'll be able to blog more this year. i'd really like to make this into a habit.

i constantly have to remind myself that i can use mixed media.
i love that they used cut paper, hand done and digital to make something as simple as this image. very cool
